Mr. Wayne Keith Alsobrooks, 34, Erin, died Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, at his residence.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Nave Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ellis Clark and the Rev. Ben Alfred officiating.

Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery in Dickson County. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday and from 8 a.m. until the time of the service on Sunday at Nave Funeral Home.

Nave Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He was born Oct. 5, 1972, in Dickson, son of the late Loyd Futrell Alsobrooks and Betty Pierce Alsobrooks of Erin.

He was a self employed cattleman, logger and sportsman. He was preceded in death by his father and paternal grandparents, the Rev. John Isham and Susie Alsobrooks, and maternal grandfather, Melvin Pierce.

Survivors include his mother, Betty Pierce Alsobrooks of Erin; maternal grandmother, Ila Pierce of Dickson; sister, Melody Alsobrooks (Jim) Alley of Adams; brothers, Wendell Loyd Alsobrooks and Wesley Christopher Alsobrooks of Erin; nephews, Corey Alsobrooks, James Evans Alley II, John Loyd Alley; and nieces, Brandi Alsobrooks and Krista Alsobrooks.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Cook, Bubba Gant, Jason Horn, Billy Bell, Chris Davenport, and Niko Hernandez. Honorary pallbearers will be Herman Rye and Jerry Macphee.

Although I have lost some of my research due to a software glitch, I am still very interested in finding out how these Alsobrooks link to our Alsobrooks, who were also in Sulphur Springs, Texas at one time.

Ralph Capers Alsobrook, Sr was buried near Sulphur Springs. Robert Lee Alsobrook, Sr. also had a wife and a child named Mattie. Robert Lee Alsobrook Jr is buried near Sulphur Springs, too.

Brenda, I do not have information that you are looking for on the Alsobrooks but I do have a connection with your John Isham. He was married to my g-grandmother's sister Ida Breeden. I have been trying to gather information on the Breeden family for several years with very little success. I'm hoping you might be able to help me out - especially with Laura Breeden who married William "Jimmy" Parrish. They were all from Erin so I know there HAS to be a connection.

This may be of help. My records (based on family sources and census records) show John was born c. 1860 and died 12/10/1948, m. Susan Viola McCarty. He was the son of Edward Alsobrook and Sarah Ann Parker. Edwards' parents were Alonzo D. Alsobrook and Mary Patch. Sarah Ann was the daughter of Isaac Parker and Mary Noland.

Ralph King Alsobrooks, born October 2, 1919 in Erin, Tennessee, passed away Friday, April 11, 2003 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Adkins Alsobrooks; daughter, Carolyn Alsobrooks Green and husband, Major, USAF (ret)Bruce Green; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Marshall Alsobrooks and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Kitty Alsobrooks; seven brothers, three sisters, and an infant son. Mr. Alsobrooks was a World War II Veteran and a member of American Legion and VFW. Friends may visit Nave Funeral Home in Erin TN, Monday, April 14, 2003, 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Services will be held Tuesday, April 15, 2003, 2:00 p.m. at Nave Funeral Home in Erin, Tennessee.
