Jennie Alsup born in MO in 1867-looking for father

I am trying to find out the father of my GGrandmother Jennie (Virginia Lee)Alsup.
In a 1880 census record from Yolo County CA I find her living with Lewis & Mattie(Pace) Cramer.
The record shows she is 13 yrs old born in CA and Occp-servant. It shows her mother born in PA who is Harriet Barney and lists her father from MO. This is all the information I have on this mystery man.

I do not know why she is living with the Cramer's as a servant.
Lewis Cramer is from OH or KY and was born about 1836.
His parents are Lawrence and Mary(Barbary)Cramer, both natives of Germany. They are buried in Hamilton, OH
His wife Mattie Pace was born in MO and since Jennie is also showing a MO as birthplace we hope there is a conection.
Mattie's father is Russell Pace born in KY and have no name for her mother but she is from VA.
Virginia Lee(Jennie) Alsup fist married to John Gunter in Yolo Cty CA 6/18/1881. 2nd husband Franklin Freemont Steel(also born in MO) 9/17/1884 in Tehama Cty, CA and 3rd husban John Sunderland married 3/19/1909 also in Tehama CTY, CA
Any information would greatly be appreciated.
Raida L.

I am trying to locate some one that descends from the Lawrence THOMPSON family that lived in Kingsville in 1930 to 1990. I am trying to locate information on a Al JACKSON, that was related to them in some way, and was in the service and stationed at Kingsville in late 1944. My mother stated that the THOMPSON's had two daughters and she was sure that Myrtle was Lawrence's second wife.

This is what I found.
1930 Kleberg Co. census.
Thompson, Lawrence 28 b. TX Machinist in Railroad Shop born abt. 1902
Thompson, Helen 26 b. TX born abt. 1904
Thompson, Armadell 9 b. TX born abt. 1921
They had been married 10 years.
Texas Births.
Barbara Ann Thompson b. 1933 Sept. 13, Kleberg Co. TX
Father: Luther Lawrence Thompson
Mother: Myrtle Grace Alsup ( if she was the one related to Al, maybe this is where his name came from).
I didn't find any other births for them from 1933 to 1937, so maybe they only had one child, and the second one was the daughter from his first marriage.
Texas Deaths.
Luther Lawrence Thompson died 27 July 1990 Kleberg Co., TX
Myrtle Grace Thompson died 11 Oct. 1994 Harris Co., TX born 06 Nov. 1909.

Mary, Susan and Thomas ALSUP [?]; farmed out children after 1860

Searching for info on 3 children:
Mary A. DETHROW/ALSUP(b. 1849 in Mississippi-)
Susan DETHROW/ALSUP (b. 1852 in Mississippi-)
Thomas DETHROW/ALSUP(b. 1853 in Mississippi-)

These were 3 youngest children of Eli and Eliza A.E. ALSUP/ALSIP DETHROW. After mother died, and Civil War came along, Eli had to "farm out" these 3 to neighbors, or family in order for him to fight in the war. Desperate to find more info on these children and whatever happened to them. Since ALSUPS were in the same area, it is very possible and likely that the children might have taken the ALSUP surname if were raised by Eliza's family.

Eli grieved for the rest of his life for these 3 children because he was not ever able to find them although he came back and searched many times.

Children possibly went to Texas with mother's family after/during the war, but cannot find them in any census or marriage listings ANYWHERE using ALSUP or its other spellings, or DETHROW, or its other spellings. This is my brickwall, and any help is much appreciated!!

Thank you!
ozarkn@grm.net

Charles Krieger and Martha Alsup / Indiana 1860

I am looking for any information about the family of Martha Alsup, that married, sometime in the 1850's in Indiana. I found both of them in the 1860 census for Clark county, Indiana, Charlestown township. I have not been able to find any thing about Martha, except the census listing, and that she was born in Indiana. At the time of the 1860 census for Clark county, Indiana, Charlestown township, they were married and lived in the before mentioned area and had two sons, Louis 7 m and Charles (Edward) who was 5 m. Charles and Martha later had a daughter, Maggie (I do not know Maggie's full name.I would appreciate anything that any one would be willing to share with me. You may email me at; SarahHelen@insightbb,com

Seeking documentation to prove the parentage of David Alsip. I believe David to be the son of James Alsip and Ann Stewart but I need a reliable source of documentation to prove that connection.

My David Alsip first married Rachel Richardson, about 1837 probably in Pulaski County, Kentucky. After Rachel’s death, he next married Elizabeth Hall on December 25, 1848 in Greene County, Missouri. When Elizabeth died, he married Catherine/Katherine Rogers on August 29, 1857 in Hancock County, Kentucky.

If you have information or know of a source to prove the parentage of David Alsip, please contact me at nmassey@iquest.net.
I have been looking for my grandmother's family. Her mother was Alice Mariah Owen Alsup, whose brothers were Fred(rick) and Walter. I just found out recently from the internet that their father was Reuben G. Owen. If Fred was your grandfather, I would dearly love to hear from you. My grandmother has been trying to locate some of her family for years. Her mother (Alice) died in a carriage accident in 1928, when grandma was 11. Grandma's name is Gladys, her sister was Katie. Please contact me soon if you think you might be our "lost" side of the family.

Mary, Susan and Thomas, children of Eliza A.E. ALSUP and Eli S. DETHROW

Searching for info on 3 children:
Mary A. DETHROW/ALSUP(b. 1849 in Mississippi-)
Susan DETHROW/ALSUP (b. 1852 in Mississippi-)
Thomas DETHROW/ALSUP(b. 1853 in Mississippi-)

These were 3 youngest children of Eli and Eliza A.E. ALSUP/ALSIP DETHROW. After mother died, and Civil War came along, Eli had to "farm out" these 3 to neighbors, or family. Desperate to find more info on these children and whatever happened to them. Since ALSUPS were in the same area, it is possible that the children might have taken the ALSUP surname if were raised by Eliza's family. Also want to contact descendants of these 3 children, I am descended from Eli's son, with his 2nd wife.

Eli grieved for the rest of his life for these 3 children because he was not ever able to find them although he came back and searched many times. Any help would be a godsend. Email me at: ozarkn@southwind.net if interested or have info. Thank you!

I am just getting started in searching my family tree. Alice is my gg grandmother. She was married to Benjamin Thomas Ward. I have only one date related to Alice-8/5/1882. I was told that this was her birth date, but I cannot be sure. The only other information I have is that Alice was either Indian or Irish. If anyone has any information, I would greatly apprectiate it.

Alsup - possible Sarah help for Carole

Hi - Was going through some Iowa census files for 1850 and saw a Sarah listed under a John Alsup as his youngest child, age 1.
I got the the site by searching on "Ralph Alsup" (ggrandfathers brother). I'm still linking up Ralph to John. John is listed as oldest of household, a carpenter, birth state for him is Indiana, age 27. Assume Elizabeth, age 27, is wife. Four children, Hannah 8, James 7, Davis 5, Sarah 1. I didn't think to look at her birth state listed, so didn't note it. I hope this helps!
