There are no known Underwoods in my family tree.

Also, there are no other known photos of the Altemus family except for a later portrait of George W. Altemus and a photo clipped from a periodical of his son, Lewis Redner Altemus (my Great Grandfather.

It took me about 25 years to find the later picture of George W. Altemus, with the notation on the back that he was my Grandmother's Grandfather. Through that notation I was able to make sense of the older image.

I am not a serious genealogist, and only posted to this thread because I recognized the name Mary Ann(e) Altemus and was struck by the similarity to your photo including "Aunt Mollie".
