My name is Carolyn Hasty Jackson, my father was Robert Ray Hasty, his parents were Wilson Central Perry and Alice Mae Whitinger Hasty, Alice's parents were Richard and Alice Ann Scull Whitinger, Alice Ann's parents were Rev. John Thomas and Helen Alter Rank Scull. I have a copy of her obituary. Helen was first married to Daniel M Rank in 1862, and they had one son and it does not give his name, She married John Thomas Scull, Sr. who was a Methodist Minister on the Glenwood Circuit and they were married on January 18, 1877. She died March 9. 1884. She was burried at Mt Olivet Cementery. As a very small child my parents lived neighbors to Charlie and Mabel Alter. I knew him as Uncle Charlie. We live north of Moscow, I cannot tell you exactly where the house was and not sure if it is still standing. If I can help with additional information, but didn't know I was related to the Alter's until recently when I came across Helen's maiden name, Her father was Mason Alter and I think Charlie was a grandson or great grandson.
