I really don't think my Peter Althaus landed in Baltimore. I thought he was the one that came through Baltimore, but now I believe he came through New Orleans. If that is correct, he would have been born in Wiesenfeld. There are 3 Wiesenfelds I have been able to locate so far. One is in what is now Poland. One is in Thalheim, I am not sure about the third one. The one in Poland seems to have been in Prussia in 1835, and is probably what I am looking for. I need to get ahold of some microfilms to see if I can run him down. My Peter married Elizabeth Marshall from Hesse. I haven't found any Marshalls from Hesse.

If I find anything on your Peter, I will be happy to forward it. I am sure I have seen a lot on him, but haven't really paid attention because he is not the one I was looking for. What information do you have on your Peter so far?
