My name is Zane M. Murry. Hettie Cockrell was my Great Grandmother, her daughter Ima "Faye" Cockrell was my Grandmother. Patrick Henry Gallagher was my third great grandfather and the grandfather of Hettie Cockrell. He came from Ireland when he was 13 I believe in the 1850's. According to family legend he wasn't allowed to leave due to his parents refusal but he had an older brother already in the United States, so he stowed away on a ship to get to America. There was a Gallagher family reunion several years back, and they handed out family genealogies that someone had done with family trees and histories. They all have a red cover with the Gallagher-Walters-Goss title on the front. I don't have one but my parents do, if you know of someone who has one or can get your hands on one it has everything you'd ever want to know in there. Some of our family still lives around Gatesville but it's been a long time. When I was a kid we used to go out to my Great-Uncle Sam Cockrell's land for Easter every year, it was a big ordeal. Just wondering if ya'll were ever there.
