I am trying to clarify about one of the children of David Alvis and Nancy Robinson. I understand they had a son named William G. However, many of the family trees on Ancestry show a son named William Carroll Alvis, which I copied over before I realized that it cannot be documented. It appears this William was born in Tn and has no connection with David and Nancy, other than in these family trees.

Can anyone help me establish the correct child? I do not know anything about William G, other than name. And what I know about William Carroll makes it unlikely that he belongs here.

I think this may be another example of everyone (including me!) copying information and not documenting it. I was trying to document when the problem appeared.

Anyway - HELP! from someone with better records and documentation!!!!
