I think that we may be on to something.. My line is from John Al(e)y.. John was born in 1817 in Greene Co., Tn.. He maried Agnes Cole in Greene Co. and they do not show up in anything before the 1840 McMinn co. census.. They were members of Pond Creek Baptist Church in McMinn before leaving for Texas in 1848.. I do not have any sibs for John but same spelling, without the "E", timeframe and location, makes this a very possible connection.. Trouble is this is as far as any of us have gotten..
