Belen AMADEO Y GELY - Modesto CAPIEL GALINDO of Puerto Rico

Seeking decendants/information regarding Modesto CAPIEL (or CAPIELO) GALINDO’s ancestry and descendants. His wife was Belen AMADEO Y GELY born 1889. Modesto was born about 1890 in Puerto Rico and apparently lived in the Cataño-Bayamón area. In 1930, Belen was a teacher living in Hato Rey, Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. Among their children were: Maria Belen, Modesto, and Jose.

Please contact me, I'd like to compare/share information. Some of the areas of particular interest include… Did Modesto and wife Belen ever divorce or did they remain married? Was Modesto also a teacher? Are there any apparent genetic propensities such as diabetes or alcoholism, etc.? Help or input about any of these or other areas would be greatly appreciated!!

The name Tony Bilello sounds so familiar, but I can't remember why. I must have been 6 or 7 when I met Katie.

Minnie married a Volpe. My family lore says that the Volpe's moved to Boston. Mary, Minnie and Elizabeth had a brother named Frank/Francesco and another brother Joe. There is also mention of two other girls, Mona and Nellie. Are these nicknames for Mary and Minnie?

My e-mail is ktaylor@brownraysman.com.

let's talk further

kevin

Hello Cousin

Hi Kevin,

My Grandparents, Mary and Anthony are also buried in Holy Cross Cemetary in Brooklyn. It would appear that we are related. My Aunt Katherine called Katie by the family and close friends always vacationed in Florida in her younger years.

Let me ask you, did your Grandmother's sister Minnie live in the Borough Park Section of Brooklyn? She had a daughter named Fannie and a son whose name I don't recall. It might have been Joe. Minnie's married name was Volpe.

I see that your in New York. Where in New York. We're in New York too. I still see a number of cousins on the Bilello side. They're going to get a kick out of this.

I see a cousin named Liboria Bilello quite often. Actually she's called Pat. Her dad was Joseph Bilello just like my dad. They lived in Queens, NY. He was quite musical as is most of the Bilello family.

Do you know Tony Bilello? He was a very tall, thin man who lived in Florida for a very long time. He was my father's cousin and was quite an interesting fellow.

Am I ringing any bells here?
