Good news - I hope I can be of help to fill in some of the gaps in the tree, at least from the UK side!
I'm sure my mum and Uncle Dave would be glad to give you any help they can, Aunt Olive died just before Christmas, and I think Uncle Dave has been sorting through the family photographs, and is trying to get the ancestry up to date.
You are correct about the Turkish/Persian/Indian connection, although I'm no expert, I do know it involves one of our ancestors working for the Maharaja Duleep Singh (http://www.duleepsingh.com) I'm not sure about any Royal Blood line, Uncle Dave can tell you more. As with all these things it's so difficult to sift the fact from fiction after so much time.
