I am the g,g,granson of Jesse Julian Ames. His birth place is confusing...either Dedham, Mass., Plainfield, Conn., or North Carolina. I can find out little about his father: Samuel other than that he was born about 1750. His mother Sarah Adams' family I can trace back to about 1651. The origins of this Ames line remain a mystery to me. Any help will be appreciated. Samuel Ames
