Re: AMES in 1906 Woburn, Middlesex Co., MA, USA City Directory
Dear scgen123,
I am the great granddaughter of James H. and Susan Ames whose family apparently lived at 3 Converse Place in 1906.
We are doing a search of who is in the family grave in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn, and cannot find Frederick E. Ames, born 8/30/1877, and listed in your message as living at 18 N. Warren in Woburn in 1906; last heard about on his brother William's obituary in April 1941, as living in Oakland, ME. We cannot confirm this, nor do we have any information on him after this date. We would like to know his date and city of death and the location where he is interred as he is not listed as being in the family grave in Woodbrook Cemetery in Woburn, MA.
He was married to Susan R. Flint, (apparently they were divorced) who is buried in another grave in Woodbrook. They had a daughter Laura May born in 1903, living with her grandparents Franklin and Elizabeth Flint in Taunton, MA, from the 1910 census. He had a son Robert, born and died in 1901, who is interred in the family plot.
For whom were you researching this inquiry? I would be very interested in getting in touch with the source to find more information.
Please email reply whether or not you can put me in touch with your source at matthewsme@cfl.rr.com as I do not usually check the Ancestry Message Boards.
Would you or your source please email me also if you have no further information so that I can consider Frederick E. Ames a Dead End ? Thank you very much for any help you or your source may be.
