Thanks for the reply! My Ames's are Hubble B. and his family in East Lyme. I had some research done in an attempt to find his parents. They weren't able to locate anything directly, but did find the records of Russell Ames. The paper which I quoted, was attached to his will. It seems to indicate some connection between those listed, but hard to say what exactly. I'm happy to share what I have.
