my family originated in amon, pennsylvania. we are from michigan. our great great grandfather joshua was private blacksmith to general grant in the civil war and served time at andersonville prison. we gave his tools to the henry ford museum in dearborn michigan. my father was robert john amon. he had a brother loyd amon. their dad was joel and grandfather was robert, from breckenridge michigan. i have two sisters and a brother who is also robert john as is his son.
