Sherrie, I sure hope you are still connected and genealogizing. Just came upon your post re. the Amon family. I knew Alfred C. Amon. Interviewed him in about 1965 when Alfred would have been 79-80. He said his father was William R. Alfred's younger brother was Howard S. I believe Howard is in the 1930 Census in Spokane, Washington. Alfred's census entry just gives "U.S." as birthplace of father and mother. The Howard in Spokane lists his father as born in Missouri and his mother in Ore. His wife's (Belle) father was born in Wales and her mother in Oregon.
W. R. and son, Howard, bought 2,300 acres in 1904-1905 and platted the city of Richland. Howard donated the land that became first Riverside Park, then was named after Howard.
