Classification: Query
Surnames: SUTTON JACKSON AMSLER DAUBENSPECK SHOUP
Extracted information from an obituary appearing in the January 17, 1944 Butler Eagle:
Harry SUTTON d. 16 Jan 1944; buried in Annisville Cemetery
Survivors:
daughter-- Mrs. Earl DAUBENSPECK of Edgewater PA
grandchildren-- two unnamed in article
brother-- John SUTTON of Mingo Junction, Jefferson Co., OH
sister-- Lina ( SUTTON ) SHOUP of OH
step-mother-- Elizabeth AMSLER
******
The only other tidbit of information I have for this gentleman was that he was supposedly the "town jeweler" in Bruin, Butler Co., PA at one time and was married to Miss JACKSON, daughter of Alexander Craig JACKSON (b. 1834; d. 1914) and Catherine Lois MORTIMER (b. 1848; d. 1911). I do not know which of Alex's and Catherine's daughters married Harry SUTTON.
Would love to share what I know of the JACKSON connection.
Thank you for taking the time to read this message. Best wishes to you in your own research.
