My name is Philip Roach jr.and I live in Ogdensburg,N.Y.,but grew up in Brasher Falls,N.Y.and I have been tracing my Villeneuve(Villnave)roots for a couple of years now.I have gone back to my GGG Grandparents Benjamin Villeneuve b.1813 in Canada and Amelia ? b.1817 Canada.These two came across into New York State and settled in the Fort Covington,N.Y.,and had nine children.Benjamin b.1846,Amelia b.1842,Julia b.1844,Christa b.1849,Archibald b.1851,Adelia b.1857,Levi b.1860,Alfred b.1862 and Peter b.1855 my GG Grandfather who married Martha Yaddow.The nine children all changed the spelling of the last name to Villnave,which it is still today.I have the complete line from Benjamin Villeneuve down ,but I would like to go further back,If anyone has info.on this line please write me.
