I am wondering if you have learned any more about the history of Jeremiah Anawalt. I am a great-grandson of Jeremiah Anawalt. My mother was Lucile Guckian Harvey and my grandmother was Ola Faye Anawalt (she married Charles Guckian and lived in Okmulgee).

My mom was born in 1908 and died in 2002. I think it was in 1988 when we were in Okmulgee and we went by the cemetary. She remarked that she was the same age as Jeremiah when he died and she as a little girl had gone to his funeral and she remembered how old he had seemed to her and there she was the same age and not feeling old at all.

I am interested in knowing more about Jeremiah. My sisters have some of the old pictures that include Aunt Mertie and Uncle Ernie. My son and I have both remarked how much we look like Uncle Ernie. My sisters look a lot like Ola Faye and her mother. I am curious as to whether Jeremiah served in the Union Army.
