      <description>&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;             ROCK CREEK —&lt;br&gt; Edmund K. Anchor, age 82, formerly of Sloat Ave., Rock Creek, Ohio, died Wednesday afternoon, April 20, 2011, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.&lt;br&gt;He was born June 17, 1928, in Ashtabula, the son of Andrew and Agnes (Trela) Kotwica and had been an area resident all of his life. Mr. Anchor was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean Conflict. He was married to Julia Kopilec on April 16, 1955, in Jefferson.&lt;br&gt;He was a 30 year employee of Rockwell International, retiring in 1980, &lt;br&gt;he also owned and operated Anchor &amp;amp; Son Fur Co.&lt;br&gt;Mr. Anchor was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Geneva Eagles, Independent Order of Foresters &lt;br&gt; He enjoyed bowling, hunting and fishing.&lt;br&gt;Survivors include his wife, Julia; &lt;br&gt;five children, Robert (Charlene) Anchor of Rock Creek, Margaret (Tim) Nash of Atlanta, Ga., Cindy (Douglas) Cheek of Alexandria, Va., Carol (Michael) Ritter of Rock Creek and Helen (Ron) Golen of Hickory, N.C.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Edmund was a devoted husband, father and grandparent and will be greatly missed.&lt;br&gt;He was preceded in death by his parents;&lt;br&gt; brothers, Michael and Stanley Anchor; &lt;br&gt;and sisters, Clara Kedzerski and Helen Lockwood.&lt;br&gt;Memorial Services will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 23rd, at the Jefferson Home of FLEMING &amp;amp; BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, with Fr. David Weikart, of Sacred Heart Church, officiating. No calling hours will be observed.&lt;br&gt;Private scattering of ashes will take place following the Services with Geneva Post #6846 of the VFW providing Military Honors.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;             Sacred Heart Catholic Church,"&lt;br&gt;</description>
