It's a little scary... We are going to New York in September, and I was looking for attractions to see in New York.
I looked at Ellis Island and the link to search for relatives in the USA. I know that I had an uncle from the states (think I've seen him twice - for many-many years ago - probably in 1960 - 1962)- in fact we have some "family-stories" about him ;o). I looked him up and suddenly there he was whit day of arrival and age.
I used Google and found request.
Now we have the contact.
First I can start telling you about his brother - my grandfather. His name was Sofus Peder Bager Sorensen.
He married Marie and they got 6 children.
Niels, Osvald (my father), Kirsten, Vita, Ella - and another Kirsten who died young.
I'm searching in the old family as well - it's very interesting but I'd no idea that I would find the US-Link.
