Surnames: anderson
If anyone has info on these people please feel free to enlighten me. My great-great grandmother Anna Anderson 1860-1929, (according to her tombstone) married Charles Overdorf. Anna is related to these Andersons who settled in Lincoln Co., WA but how she connects I don't know. Hope this info helps, Here's what I have so far:

Funeral services for Doris Anderson, 83, a lifetime Reardan area resident, were held June 22, 1990 at the Chapel of Flowers, Riplinger Funeral Home in Spokane. Rev. Philip Falk of Reardan officiated. Graveside services were held at the Reardan Cemetery. Mrs. Anderson, who died June 18, 1990 in Spokane, was born in Cheney and graduated from Cheney Normal School (EWU). She then taught at Star, Wild Rose, Kellogg, Idaho and Mount View Schools. She married Norman Anderson in 1930 and they farmed at Reardan and still lived on the same farm. She was a pianist and organist and was a member of the Methodist Church, Daughters of the Nile, Ladies Oriental Shrine, LOS Kashmars, Davenport Chapter of the Eastern Star and the Waukon Grange. Survivors included her husband, Norman; one foster son, Herman Scholer, Jr. of Reardan; one sister, Leona Nelms of Spokane; and one brother, David Lane of Deer Park; numerous nieces and nephews. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children, N. 820 Summit Blvd, Spokane 99201-1598 or the charity of the donor’s choice. Mr. Heinemann died Saturday, Jan 14, at his Billings home. He had suffered a stroke at Thanksgiving. Born July 13, 1925 in Reardan to George and Martha Heinemann, he was the third of four siblings in a wheat farming family. After attending a country school for three years, consolidation moved him to elementary and high school classrooms in Edwall. He joined the US Navy in 1943, went through boot camp at Farragut, Idaho, engineering school in Illinois and water tender school in Philadelphia, PA. He served in the Phillipine Islands, Okinawa, Hong Kong, China and Shanghai during WW II and was at sea during a Christmas Eve attack by the Japanese. After his 1946 discharge, he earned a degree in animal husbandry from WSC. He worked at Armor and Company in Spokane as a cattle buyer, later moving to Portland, OR.... He married Marilyn Tollefson, March 10, 1974 in Billings.... He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father, Dave Anderson, two brothers, Laurence and Robert Heinemann; a sister, Ruth Hilby and brother-in-law, Noel Hilby. FARMER TAKES OWN LIFE
The body of GEORGE HEINEMAN, 47 year old Edwall farmer, who had been missing for nearly a week, was found late yesterday in the woods near Long Lake in Spokane county, with a gunshot wound through the head. Coroner I. C. COLLINS of Spokane county said ill health and financial reverses prompted Heineman to take his own life. He had been troubled with a nervous disorder prior to his disappearance, the coroner said. The Edwall man bought a .22 caliber rifle September 21, the day he was reported missing, and apparently took his life the same day. MARTIN SCHETLER, a farmer near Long Lake, discovered the body in a deeply wooded section. He is survived by a brother at Cheney and a sister in Spokane. Both Lincoln and Spokane county officers had been searching for Heineman since last Thursday, following a report of his disappearance. [The Davenport Times-Tribune; September 28, 1939]

EDWALL FARMER TAKES OWN LIFE

Martha Anderson, lifelong resident of the Waukon area, was buried Dec. 12, in the Reardan Cemetery following services in Cheney. The Rev. Clifford Saunders, a former pastor of the Reardan Presbyterian Church, officiated. She died Dec. 9 at her home, Route 2, Edwall. An avid bowler, Mrs. Anderson had previously bowled with the Better Haves, local women’s league, and had helped many beginners learn the game. She was also a member of Starlight Chapter No. 90, Order of Eastern Star, Reardan, and Waukon Grange No. 894. Survivors include her husband David Anderson, at the home; one daughter, Ruth Hilby, Maple Valley; three sons, Ralph Heinemann, Billings, MT; Lawrence Heinemann, Long Beach, WA, and Robert Heinemann, Colville; two brothers, Frank Holznagel, Veradale, and Martin Holznagel, Spokane; four sisters, Katherine Bedker, Mabton; Anna Childers, Wilbur; Magdalena Kilmer, Spokane; and Freda Logan, Edwall. Burial was at Reardan Cemetery. Born Feb 20, 1922 in Reardan to Robert and Hazel (Stevenson) Anderson, he graduated from Reardan High School and earned a degree in agronomy from WSU. He was an US Army veteran of WW II. He belonged to Reardan Presbyterian Church, the Spokane County ASCS Committee for 15 years, the Reardan School Board and the Reardan American Legion as a lifetime member. He was a past president of the Reardan Lions Club, an honorary member of the Reardan FFA and a past master of the West Deep Creek Grange. He also was the greens and grounds chairman for three years and served on the board at the Apache Wells Country Club in Mesa, AZ. He was preceded in death in 1981 by a wife, Edna Anderson. He leaves his wife, Betty (Chambers) Anderson, at the home; a son, Scott and Lorri Anderson; a daughter, Lorrie and Larry Grevstad; two stepsons, Craig and Mary Ann Bell and Dennis and Kathy Bell; 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; a brother, Foster Anderson.
