Surnames: FLEISCHOCKER-TSCHIDA-MUELLER-LUTTMAN(sberger)-SWARTZ(bauer)-KRAMER
Been researching the above surnames for many years, the Tschidas are from Pamhagen, Burgenland, Austria - and this morning I received documents to further trace my Anna Luttmansberger through her brother, John Luttman (name change in the US) who married a Julia Mueller. In the marriage application, the father to Julia is Lawrence Mueller, her mother is Eva Dolringer (or Doeringer) Mueller. John Luttman's father is Michael Luttman, his mother is Julia Fleischocker (handwriting hard to read) Luttman, I erroneously interpreted the surname Fleischocker to Theschocker from another Luttman marriage application.
My John P. Tschida is the possible son to John S. Tschida, who married Elizabeth Swartz(bauer) - she may be from Illitz, further research pending. This information is confirmed through a person who has LDS listings for Tschidas in the Pamhagen area.
Also, my Johanna Tschida (female) who m. Michael Wartha has a birthyear match, as well her brother, Frank J. Tschida to the father, John S. Tschida from the LDS files provided to me.
I feel the Tschida's that first arrived in South Bend, Indiana from your families listed are also the Tschida's from my family. Somehow, the brothers and sisters to these surnames are definitely interconnected to my family members.
Most of these surnames appear on my John P. Tschida's (March 10, 1878-December 20, 1954) Funeral Registrar, as well. However, the LDS file lists his birth as March 30, 1878).
The Kramer connection comes in when Julia Luttman(sberger) m. Lawrence Kramer, son to Joseph Kramer and Mary Deitch (or Dutch), hard to read on supplemental marriage index, as there were many misspellings.
And the Wartha connection comes in when Johanna Tschida m. Michael Wartha.
Would appreciate some feedback on these families, as I have many obituaries to some of these surnames, which looks like a "Who's Who" Obituary listing from South Bend, Indiana.
Michael John Tschida is my uncle, who married Julia (Julianna) Benko, daughter of Ivan (John) Benko and Anna Farkas. Michael John Tschida is the son to John P. Tschida, listed above.
