The farest I am able to go is to James F. Anderson (abt 1888 in Iowa) who Married Jessie Straw. From my Understanding it was James' father (or grandfather) who Migrated from scandinavia region to America changing the Last name from Andreasen to Anderson. If anyone else knows of these people PLEASE PLEASE don't hesitate to help.

Hi Alaina, it is quite possible we are researching the same family. The Andreasens enter my family tree via a marriage between my great, great Aunt, Anna Helene Nielsen (B. 5 Oct 1859 in Ordrup-Gentofte, Kobenhavn, Denmark) She married Peter Julius Andreasen (b. 12 May 1857 in Naskov, Maribo, Denmark) He was a ships captain. His Parents were Hans Andreasen and Ane Elisabeth Jensen (not sure if he had brothers and sisters.)

Peter and Anna had 2 children (that I have found - could be more...) - Carl Vilhelm Julius Andreasen (b. 1885 in Naskov, Maribo, Denmark) and Elisabedt Andreasen (b. 1883 in Naskov, Maribo, Denmark) I have reason to believe that Carl left Denmark and eventually settled somewhere in America. Does any of this sound familiar? If this is your Carl, I have a photo of him as a boy you might want a copy of.

Take care
Jarrod

I was researching my ancestors also and my father told me our last known ancestors name is Andreas Andreasen. He said that there was an 'Andreas Julius Adreasen' and a 'Carl Andreasen' that I think he said were his sons. It is possible that we are researching the same person. If so, there are generations of Andreasen family members I can fill you in on. Perhaps you will be able to fill in some gaps for me also. Thanks!
Alaina

Hi Mary. Your welcome. I received a telephone call from Sherry this morning and was pleasantly surprised. I was so glad to hear from her. My sister, Joyce, and I have been so disconnected from family and not known anyone from my Dad's side. I had met your grandmother when I was very young and stopped to see her in the early 80s or late 70s.

Thank you for your e-mail address. I will send you an e-mail later today. I have a few errands to do right now getting ready to fly to Texas tomorrow to see my mother, sister, one of my sons, and 3 of my grandsons.

I will e-mail you later today and send some photos.

Dolores Andreasen Kool

Yes, it was me. I found my cousins, Jackie and David Andreasen whom I haven't seen since I was about 7 years old.
I found that Jackie was Jack Lamont Andreasen and that he died 6 Aug 1988 in North Carolina. I found that David is living not to far from me in Sacramento and that his name is David J. Andreasen. I don't know what the J stands for.

"Jackie" and David's father was my uncle, John Nephi Andreasen, (I knew him as Jack Andreasen). Jack's brother, Orden Crofts Andreasen (who went by "Joe")is my father. My father passed away in 1974.

I would be glad to share any information I may have that would be of interest to you and hope you would do the same.
I have a few photos of Jackie and David with me and my sister, Joyce as children. I also have a photo of Ruby, their mother.

I spoke to David about 3 months ago, but have not heard from him since then. I hope to meet him again in the near future.

Dolores Kool

Sorry this is not about the message you had on the board. My great great grandfather was Christian Maurice Andreasen from Denmark. After two more generations the name was changed to Anderson, just like your listing. I was wondering is you had any info about the Andreasen's. I would really appreciate anything you have. Thanks

At a brick wall finding more info on my Great-grandparents who came from Denmark in or about 1885. They were married in Douglas Co., NE in 1887.

My Great-Grandfather was Nels C. HANSEN - his parents Hans C. HANSEN and Christine LUND

My Great-Grandmother was Anna Marie (Annie) ANDREASEN/ANDRESEN - her parents were Andres ANDREASEN/ANDRESEN and Mary TRISTUP OR TISTRUP.
I believe she had a sister named Christine who may have written a letter or two to Great-Grandmother from Denmark.

Have a ton of pictures, mostly without names would love to share and find out who everyone is. I do not know if other family members came with them or not. Or if the pictures were taken in Denmark or the US for sure. Thanks for taking time to read this and respond.
Claudia in Seattle
Hello Bonnie,

I am Udo Fingerhut from Germany. I am a hobby family researcher (no professional!), researching the FINGERHUT family.

I was essentially concerned so far with the FINGERHUT's in Germany, am about however to develop a data base which is to cover all FINGERHUT's occurrence world-wide.

The current results you can find at www.fingerhut-genealogie.de.vu. Actutally the pages of the are in German, but the Database has an interface in English, too. To get access to the database choose Datenbank -> Dantenbankaufruf (in the green menu bar).

If your are interested I would like to exchange information regarding all FINGERHUT's

Regards,
Udo (Fingerhut)

Janice, thanks for asking your aunt. This is so neat to find other family members.

Would your aunt be interested in some documents on the Andreasen family from Denmark? Or would she have any cousins who would be? I have gone back a few more generations on this line. I am also interested in finding a picture of Severine to see how he resembles his brother Anton.

Please email me her address to mma536@yahoo.com, if you think she would be interested.

Thanks, Mindy

Mary married a man named Miller and Violet Marie Miller Stokes still lives in her grandmother's house in Woburn on Montvale Road off of Pine St. She did'nt have any more info and could'nt remember too much about her grandparents. Hope this helps

There were 2 brothers named Andreasen (although one was and Anderson on census records), and also a nephew (I think his name is Lawrence) who came to Woburn.

Mogens (born Vester Kaerby, Denmark) married Stina and had at least 2 children: Andrew and Sarah (born late 1890's)

Severin (born Teglvaerkshuse, Denmark) married Frederika and had at least 2 children: Mary, William & Albert (born late 1890's)

Peder Andreasen from Norway

I am looking for Peder Andreasen, son of Andreas Kristiansen. I believe he came to MN and was in the Duluth area at one time. He would be a half-brother to my grandmother Anna Andreasen Sannes. He might have used Sannes/Sandnes as his surname here. He would have been born in the middle 1800s either in Troms or Finnmark, Norway.
Hoping for any info
Jeanne

Gail,
I am trying to piece together my family tree. Your message sounds very interesting to me. I know of a Peter Andreasen who was married to Amelia (Christensen). Peter's sister was Caroline Andreasen. She was married to Jens Peter Christensen. They all came from Denmark. If any of this rings a bell, email me. Thanks. Tara
