Hi, not sure where to start, but I'm looking for info on my great grandfather, Johannes Andreassen, born 1859 I believe in Holden Prgj. Norway. My grandfather, Edvard Johannessen born Dec. 2, 1890 in Borge, Norway raised me after he immigrated to United States. Not sure when he arrived in New York, I heard that he first went to Minnesota to work. In a few years, he relocated to Longview, WA USA. Grandpa had 4-5 siblings. Can anyone help me as I am new to searching. Thank you for your time.<br>Sincerely, Nancy

Andreassen

I am searching for info on a Lars Andreas Andreassen. His Mothers name was Oline Amalie Andreassen. Oline married an Andreassen in Norway.(Flekkejford?) They came over to the us after her husband joined the us Navy. Family lore says that Lars was either 8 days old or 8 months old when they arrived in the US. Lars was born in 1904 and died in1955.Oline was born in 1871 and died in 1958. They lived in Green Cove Springs Florida. We recently made a trip to Florida and I found the graves for Lars and Oline.Lars married a Mary P Riley and raised 2 girls. The girls changed the spelling of their last name to Andresen because it was easier for people to spell and pronounce at the urging of their father. My mother was one of them. My mother lost all family records in a move at some point in time. She does not remember much else. The trail stops there. If anyone has any info on this family it would be much appreciated.
