Samuel Thornton Andrick born abt 1859 OH

Does anyone have info regarding Samuel Thornton Andrick born about 1859 in OH. His parents were Christopher and Sarah Ann Dean Andrick.

Last I can find, he is listed on the 1870 census with them in Shelby Co, IL.

You came to the right place. Arley's grandfather and my ggg-grandfather were brothers. My line came to WV and settled here. I have been working with a group of researchers for many years now and probably have lots of info that will help you.

I am getting ready for an Andrick reunion this Sept. I would love to see pics of Andricks to take and share with my family.

I am from George and Elizabeth Mumaw Andrick's line. I have pics of their son David Pheneas and his sister, Barbara Ellen Andrick. I would love to see more pics of this line. If you have or know who would have these pics to share, please let me know. I am willing to share mine as well.

Thomas J. Hines is buried in the Hottletown Cemetary, Liberty Furnace, VA

Sarah Miranda Andrick Hines is buried in the cemetery at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Jerome, VA

They had 9 children.

I have her birthday as "after 1860," which is sourced from "From the Rhine to the Shenandoah," by Daniel Bly. That looks to be from the 1860 census. I don't have more than that.

What do you have on documentation of parents?

I am from Elizabeth's brother, Joseph Sr.'s line.

And yes, Johann Frederick was the father of George.

Do you happen to know the death date for Anna Barbara Voltz/Foltz?

I am descended from the Elizabeth Andrick, born c 1799 died aft 1870, who married Frederick Helsley in Shenandoah Co., VA on Jan 19, 1818. She was the daughter of George Andrick and Anna Barbara Foltz. I believe George was the son of Johann Frederick Andrick, but I have not documented the information. I have seen it on the internet, but with no documentation.

I received some info a long time ago regarding Jacob Andreck's death. It lists his death as d. 12-15-1819 was killed. He is buried in Old Meddletown Cem. Franklin Co, OH. I assume that he died in Franklin Co, OH. Does anyone have more info? His wife was Catherine Smith. Thanks!!

My ancestor Mary Andrick b Jul 1772 dau of a Christian Andrick of Greenbrier married John Selsor in Greenbrier WV in Feb 1790 and the family had 8 children and moved to Ohio in 1815. I have the will of Christian Andrick proved in Greenbrier in 1816. He had sons Christian, Jacob and Fred, and dau Mary (selsor), Martha (cook) and Nancy (Stars) Trying to find out who his wife and siblings were.

I haven't went past a William Franklin Daugherty b. 14 Feb. 1861 d. 14 May 1952 m. to Ida Golden. These would be my husband's ggrandparents. His grandparent Boyce L. b. 15 Nov.1907- d. 19 Jan.1992. Father was Bernard B. b. 28 June 1928- d. 03 July 1980.

I have the memorial cards for a Jacob Daugherty b. 09 March 1891- d. 19 May 1974 and for a William Harrison Daugherty b.27 Dec.1895- d. 10 Nov. 1976. These came from Lloyd's (brother to Bernard) bible. My thoughts are that they may be Boyce's siblings but I have not checked as of yet.

Lloyd is buried in the Pitman Cemetery (I assume there is only one) also.

I believe you had sent me info on the Andrick family during the time my mom was their caretaker. I passed it on to their children who came in for visits etc., and they were very tickled to get it. There are Andrick's in the area here and I know of Dadismans in the Barberton, Ohio area that have went back to Philippi.

You may know more about the Daugherty's than I do and I'm always ready to listen or read about the findings of others. So are we connected by the Pfau sisters? If we aren't we have certainly been in the same neighborhood!

are you a relative of Margaret Pfau Daughter wife of Harrison Daughter. Harrioson is a brother to Jacob Daughter. I am a gggrandson of Sarah Pfau wife of Henry Andrick. Sarah and Margaret are sisters and both are buried in the Pitman cemetery.

I am descended from a German line, which was variously spelled Anderegg, Andereck, and Andrick in the years after they came to America. They went to Pennsylvania, after leaving Germany. (Had they stayed there, these German Lutherans would have been Pennsylvania Dutch... folks who went "Dutch" from Holland, but "Deutch", German.) However, they didn't stay there. My line went to the Shenandoah county area of Virginia, with many of the other German families from York County, PA. Some fought in the Rev. War. I recommend you look at the Shenandoah County Genealogy website, http://www.rootsweb.com/~vashenan/vashenan.html,
and inquire there. There are several Andrick researchers.

My grandfather was an immigrant from Europe and I believe my father said he was Hungarian. The name possibly had been changed when they came to the US to Andrick from something like Andricheck, I have no idea how to spell that.

Andrick, Foltz and Helsley families

I am looking for information on George Andrick who married Barbara Foltz in Shenandoah Co., Virginia. They were the parents of Elizabeth Foltz who married Frederick Helsley on Jan 19, 1818. The bondsman was Peter Helsley, father of Frederick.

Does anyone know about George's parents? If there were other siblings for Elizabeth? Is there documentation that they WERE in fact her parents?

Della Andrick Thoman is still alive and is in a rest home in Illinois. She had a brother William and they are both relatives of mine. I am in contact with her daughter that also lives in Illinois. I will be attending the Thoman reunion this year in Galion. Her fathers name was Rolla Andrick and they lived in Morrow County in the town of Johnsville.
