We have a fairly extensive family tree on the Andriessen family created by my Aunt Louise who was a granddaughter of Arthur and daughter of Charlotte Andriessen Boyle (had sisters Rose and Louise). Arthur Andriessen is my Great Grandfather and Friedrich is of course my Great-great grandfather. All of your information aligns with what we have. I also have pictures of Arthur and Mina as well as one of Friedrich. You posted this a long time ago so hope you are still checking. My sister and I googled the Andriessens over Christmas and found this posting. We can possibly add to whatever information you have and would be glad to.

Hi! My family of Krefeld has Friedrich Andriessen born 1802 or so. They were originally from Denmark. A lot of the family names are Hugo, Richard, Otto. Friedrich was a civil engineer who designed railroads. He came to the US in the mid 1800's.
Could this be your family?

Hi Purlie,

I hope you are still reading these messages. In 2001 I took you up on your offer to send me you line going back to Denmark. I researched my line back to the Dusseldorf/Krefeld area in, what is now, Germany.
My earliest relative was Albert Andriessen born in 1639 at Wesel ( a township close to the above areas )
I have not been able to make the connection to Denmark although I know his Fathers' Christian name was Andries. Maybe you could help me.
Kind regards,
Willem Andriessen

Augustine Anderson

I've hit a brick wall with Augustine Anderson b. abt. 1748 (NJ) married Hannah Edsall. He served in the continental army and used his pension to relocated from NJ/NY to Morgan County Ohio.

He had 3 children Joseph, Matilda(m.Weston), Pamelia (married Silvey).

I can't find any info regarding Augustines birth, marriage, christening etc... I have no idea if he had any siblings nor any idea of whom is Parents were. I do have a suspician that he might be Dutch and so posssibly the parents may be Andriesson's or Andrieze.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? He truly can't have just fallen from the sky!!!
