My mother was Mary Ellen Andry Scxhluter, born on Christmas DSay 1900. Her twin brother died a few days later. They were named Mary and Joseph. My Andry line goes back from m y mother, her father,Joseph William, Edgar J., Hortiare Michel, anothere Horaire, Gilbert Sosthene, Louis Antoinme, and Manual B. N. Andry. The 1911 slave uprising started at the Andry Plantation which is now La Place, Louisiana north and east of New Orleans abouyt 15 to 24 miles upstream of the Mississsippi River.
