I really need everyones help who knows anything about the Godchaux family. My great great grandmother Leontine bn:1857 in Louisiana has used the maiden name of Godchaux on her children's baptism records. Leontine has also used the name Lions on other records. "It is so Confusing"!! She married Auguste Dugas who died working at a sugar plant and than hooked up with a George Weysham in 1900 in NOL and lived with him until her death in 1925. Leontine was a Creole who passed in 1900. She was either born in St. John Parish or St James Parish (where she lived until Auguste died). All I know about her mother is her name was Sarah Bourgeois. I cannot find a record of her or her mother before 1880.
