I am Michael Angelus Angelica.
I am part of the only Angelica family in Texas. we are the only family within the tri-state area to have the surname Angelica. i personally believe that yes our name is Italian, but is more derived from archaic latin. My family can be traced all the way back to Italy and then up to Germany.
