John Maxwell, thanks for the interest in my message. Do you know if Barbara came from Bavaria/Germany? Maybe County records of her daughter in Franklin Co, MO might tell where she was born. I am still looking for two Angerer brothers who were in the civil war. One with the South and one with the North. One died in the war and one lived. Maybe there is helpfull information on the tomb stones or in the church records. I am leaving for the Passau, Thyrnau, Neiderkummering and Hazenberg area of Bavaria/Germany between Oct3 and 12th, where 4 generations of Bauers came from (my great grandmother was an Angerer). I am going to check around there a bit more to see if I can come up with any more info. Thanks again. Rudy Bauer

I dont know if I can be any help but the St John Lutheran Church in Beafort, Franklin Co, MO had records of my GGGGrandmother and GGGGrandfather. My GGGGrandmother was Catharina Margaretha Meyer and her father was Phil or Phillip Meyer and her mother was Barbara Angerer. Catherina went by the name of Margaret and is burried at the church cemetery beside my GGGGrandfather Johann Horath who went by John Hoerath. I didnt look to see if there was any Angerer's buried there but it could be a good possiblity. I travel there several times a year and I will check next time I am there.

Well, I wish I could help, but I haven't been able to locate anything on the Angerer family before they came to the US. It's not an easy name to come across. Or maybe I just do not know where to look. There is a lady who posts on this sight that has a web site. She has the names of numerous Angerers listed on her site with lots of royalty. You may want to check the other postings to see if you can find her. Sorry, but I don't remember her name. Erica

My Father born 1908 in a small village of NiederKummering,Lower Bavaria, told me his Grandmother was born Rosalie Angerer in Bavaria. Her fathers name was Josef Angerer and her mother was Theresa Stofl (o with " over it) from home. The father of Josef was Johann who died Oct.21,1809. There were two brothers, sons or relatives (not sure which) of Rosalie who were in the Civil War here. One fought for the South and one for the North. One of the two was killed in the war.The Nat. Civil War Archives list the names of six Angerer's; Jacob, Thomas and Frederick with service out of Franklin, Mo. Also listed were Christian,Charles and Edward with service out of N.Y. I am trying to find outwhich, if any were born to my dad's relatives in Bavaria or here in U.S. I visited visited the southeast corner of Bavaria. Northeast of Passau the area my fathers family came from, there were Angerer graves in the Church cementary in Thyrnau, Bavaria.Thyrnau is near to the Danube river and Austria. I would appreciate any info you might have on birth places and dates of any of these above veterans. Will gladly share any info I have with you! My mailing address is 257 S.
Larry-While researching my family I found a little bit on yours. You may already have this, but I wasn't sure. If you go to familytreemaker.com and enter George Angerer you'll find the Heinrich Family His. There is a George there was was born 11/29/1941. Also in ances. of Debra Sue Eisenhurst it lists Sophie John and who here parents were. My great-great grandfather was also George Angerer who was born in Germany, I haven't been able to come up with much info. Hope this all helps. If you already had it, oh well it didn't hurt. -Erica Benoit
