I am trying to find the parents of Williamn H Brown born in the Alexandria, Virginia area about 1809-1810. He married Helen Atkinson 14 July 1829 in District of Columbia, probably in Alex. His parents were suposse to have died when he was young. He was a shoemaker in Alexandria. William and Helen had 17 children. 14 who lived to maturity, ten listed in his will. He moved from Virginia to Illinois about 1849. William died in Wythe,Township,Hancock, Illinois in April 1866. Anyone who might be able to shed light on his parentage would be appreciated. I have research this family for a decade and am willing to share information.
