hi foster, i am descended from Robert Angles from Middridge who went to scotland as a soldier in the durham militia in the early 1800's and got married and started off a new dynasty of Angles. i have now found out that the name is connected to Aungles or just Aungle and was interchangeable. i would be very interested to know of the history of the family ie before about 1790 but will wait till i know that you are still on this site, regards, lynne
