Mary ANNAS was born 1835 R. ST. CLAIRE, ? where in Canada? d/o Richard ANNIS & Catherine POULIN. Mary could not read of write. She signed one of her childrens baptismals Marie ESTNESSE in ST. POLYCARPE, Que. Is ESTNESSE a Indian name or word? Is McINNES a dit for ANNAS? The 1851 census for St. Polycarpe had John LAHAY single and he married Mary, where ??? in 1852. I am willing to share my info when I get it sorted. JL
