I realize this is an old post, but I hope you are still here. Jeremiah Annas Jr married Susanna Caroline Abernathy. They had a daughter, Mary Rebecca Annas. She married Marcus Elcanah Miller. They had a son Gideon Jethro Miller who married Zora Francis Icenhour, who were my great grandparents. I would love to have a copy of the information you have. My e-mail is mreed3timz@hotmail.com Thanks in advance!!

Diane

My grandmother Alice Elizabeth ANNIS married Polycarpe Regis (Richard) LAHAY. In the 1871 Ont. Census, it has him as LAHAIR. I do not know anything about these folks but Alice Elizabeth died in Prince George, B.C. I have corresponded with some of her son's children and there are supposed to be relatives all over British Columbia. (One ANNIS I contacted years ago in Prince George, suggested I buy the book "Annis of Canada by Sharon Taylor" but I have not been able to find it.) Alices son Louis' B.C. wife said the grandmother Mary ANNAS who married John LAHAY was a full blooded Indian. My children are both very dark with jet brown eyes. Can anyone help us? Thanks

Looking for a Jacob James Annas or maybe just James Annas who was in the St.Louis MO area in about 1870. He married a Caroline Wingert/Wingart.Children included Anna and Louis (my ggf), perhaps others. He moved to PA, wound up in the Allentown area. Family lore has it that he was born in Prussia and emigrated as a young man. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Ken,
My name is Judy La Hair.
Mt Great-great Grandfather's name was John La Hair. I have in my records that he was married to Lucy Martin. That is all the information that I have on them. Their son was Joseph La Hair ( !870-1957).
Rumor says they came from Canada. So, I guess I am trying a long shot.
Are there any connections that you know of?
Thanks,
Judy

My ex spouse's surname is Annas, we have a son , his name is Kevin Riley Annas. My ex 's name is Steven Douglas Annas. Steven has an older brother named Roy Annas and a younger sister named Lorrainne Annas. They grew up in Prince George, B.C. Canada. Thier fathers name is Gordon Annas and still resides there, though not with thier natural mother. I have no idea whom my son's paternal grandma is (there is anomosity between the parties) except she may be part aborigional and possibly reside in the british columbia interior region. Since I saw the name Lorraine in your posting I wondered if, perhaps they might be descendants of your branch. Any info at all would be so very much appriciated, thanks to all who choose to reply! Andrea

jeremiah annas jr. tree

I found a pamphlet entitled The Jermiah Annas, Jr. Tree in some old books we inherited. It was written
by Mrs. Lorraine Annas Johnson. The front page: The Jeremiah Annas, Jr. Tree
Susanna Caroline Abernethy, wife.

Jeremiah was born February5, 1816. Died August 10,1900. Age 84 years, 6 months, 5 days. Susanna
Caroline Abernethy Annas was born July 1, 1829. Died March 1912 -Age 83 years.

The first Annas reunion was held Sunday, September 28,1947 in Sawmills, NC and was quite a
success. There were about 325 members present
....The Annas name is one of the oldest family names known, being traced back before the time of
Christ. It is also noted for nobility and bravery.
The front page continues to talk about the Annas and Abernethy clans uniting. Officers are named. A
Committee is elected for Monument for Jeremiah.
Inside the pamphlet is the descendents chart.
If anyone is interested---I'll be more than happy to share the information inside the pamphlet.
Diane Ledford
jiml@conninc.com
