Hi folks, I am the grand-daughter of Dennis Ansbro born in 1909 in Leeds, Yorkshire England, son of Mark born 1884 in Leeds, son of Dennis born 1860/61 in Balla co Mayo. I believe that Dennis' father was a Mark Ansbro and he had brothers one called Martin.
My great great grandfather Dennis emigrated to New York in 1907 and the only sibling to stay in the UK was my great grandfather Mark.
I am spending my summer holiday in Co Mayo so that I can do some research into the family and also see the area my family came from. I will post anything I find out onto this site when I come back home.
