Elizabeth Anselm was my GG Grandmother, and my big mystery. She was born May 1832, probably in Renchen (or close) Baden, Germany. Her mother was most likey Catherine Kehoff. The story: Eliabeth father, Mr. Anselm died and her mother, married a Dosenbach (probably Francis). Did Mr. Anselm die in Germany, probably. Elizabeth came with her mother and stepfather to Perry Co., MO. A record at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Apple Creek, Perry Co., MO. -- her mother Catherine Dosenbach died 15 Jan 1849, when Elizabeth was only 14 years old. This I believe is where the mystery starts -- because Elizabeth worked out (so I can't find her). I found her in the 1850 Census of St. Louis, working for a John Bagel. Elizabeth married 1854 in St. Louis to John Martin (called Martin) Moll. They moved to Mascoutah, St. Clair Co., IL. Elizabeth died in Mascoutah. Are there any Anselms out there that could be related to my Elizabeth? There was a Dominick Anselm and family living in Perry Co., MO. Dominick was probably her uncle. I thought he was her father, but he has been traced back to Renchen, Baden, Germany and Elizabeth is not his child. Thanks in advance for any help.
