I am searching for Anselmo's that came from Mazarro Del Vallo Sicily and settled in St. Louis Missouri. My Grandfather Giuseppe (Joe) Anselmo was the son of Giovanni and Giuseppina Anselmo. Her maiden name may have been Patoa?? He emigrated to the U.S. in 1908 at the age of 16. His younger brother, Frank followed in 1910. I believe they had another brother, Vito, who I think remained in Castelvetrano Sicily. He married my Grandmother, Maria Distefano on April 6, 1913 in St. Louis, MO. They had 3 sons, John, Ignazio Eugene (my dad) and Joseph. My Grandpa was murdered in December 1925.
