Suzanne, I have some information.

Michael Schmidt and Margaret Anslinger

Married 10/15/1857
Holy Trinity Catholic Church
Evansville, Indiana

Son of Christian Schmidt & Theresa Michelhaus
Dau of John Anslinger & Catharine Christmann
Witness: Carolus Schmidt & Francis Anslinger

Although I have this item, I am not quite sure where it belongs. I have been focusing on my direct line...descendants of John Joseph Anslinger...and in the process only accumulated other Anslinger references without placing them in there proper places. I would be very happy to share with you any info I have. I have a good bit of Vanderburgh County / Anslinger info that I just haven't had time to process yet. Your interest and communication will no doubt prompt me to do so. Please feel free to email me directly. John

My Great Grandmother was Margaretha Anslinger born 2/25/1833. She married Michael Schmitt. Both were listed in the 1880 census from Germany. Their address in 1880 was Evansville, Vanderburgh, Indiana. The family info is that they emmigrated from Alsace Lorraine Area. They were married 10/15/1857 in Evansville IN. I am looking for siblings and parents of Margaretha. She died in 1880 and is buried in St. Joseph Cemetery, Evansville IN.
