Just saw your message even though it is 9 years old. I am related to Rebecca Anson Brooks also. Rebecca married Jehiel Brooks. Their son William is my great-great grandfather who married Nancy Griffith. I live in Indiana and started doing research on the Brooks family. My great-grandmother was Eliza Jane Brooks, who married William Oakley.
I remember going to the Brooks family reunion in Indianapolis when I was young and then for some reason it was disbanded. I am 61 now and the family that is left can only remember a few names of those who attended the reunion. I found some of the Ansons and Griffiths and a few Brooks during my research.
Do you have much info on the Brooks side? I found a story where Rebecca and her son William moved to Indiana in 1839 after the death of Jehiel.
Any info would be a big help.
