Does anyone know f any information about the Anson Family in South-Western Ontario?? Such as any information pertaining to Edward Mason Anson born in England in the 1800's?? I need thios information to finish my family tree that I have been working on for many years and only have been able to find as far back as my great grand-father on my fathers side.

Harriet was my grandfather's (William Broad GOODMAN) first wife, she died very young during a typhoid fever epidemic in 1901 in Ishpeming, Michigan.

I believe Harriet's father Andrew died young as well, and his widow, along with parents-in-law, may have resided in Denver, Colorado and/or Kansas.

Looking to solve the above question. I am researching Gerald (Jerry) Anson who was born in Greene CO. NY. I am trying to find parentage for him. He later married Elizabeth Pomeroy and had at least two daughters, Helen and Laura in 1886. I find a Jerry on the 1870 US Census with parents Clara and father Lewis. I don't know if this is the Jerry I am looking for. Is anyone else researching this Anson family?

They look like they are farming next to my GG grandfather Amos Anson Ashley. His mother was Lucretia Anson 1798--1830 New York. Married to William Ashley 1790-1880 Hopewell County NY. My great-grandfather was Maj Charles H Anson (his brother was Maj Frank A Anson), both born in Peru, NY to Edward Anson and Helen M. Hayes. Frank was born on 3-8-1844 and married Mollie Griswold in June of 1874. They joined the Vermont Volunteers in the Civil War, then eventually moved to Milwaukee and started the Anson Brothers Grocery. They were both heavily involved in Wisconsin politics.

Charles was supposedly married to Harriet F. Leyman on October 10, 1880. I do know his son, my grandfather, Charles Lyman Anson, was born April 23, 1884, but I'm not sure if it were in Wisconsin or Illinois. If anyone knows anything about these Ansons, or any of their offspring, I'd appreciate it. Marcy

Looking for ancestors/information about Austin Anson, b.1820s/1830s possibly son of Mrs Silas Anson. He m. Anna Harris, b.1837. He d. about 1910, possibly in Casselton, N. Dakota. Wife Anna Harris b. at Albion, Michigan sometime between 1831 and 1837, died at Iroquois Falls, Ontario in 1925. They had two children: Frank Harris, b. somewhere between 1856 and 1862 in Niles or Bellevue, Michigan and Mae Harris, b. about 1858 or 1860 or later. She d. (unmarried) in abt. 1935, in Calif.. Austin may have had a brother Myron, and sister Elizabeth. According to family traditions, the Ansons are related to the Litchfields of Shugborough, Staffordshire, England, but no links yet found.

My grandmother sent me a picture of all the children that attended school with her at Hazelgrove in Greenoak (Princeton) Illinois taken probably around 1920-25. She has also provided the name of every child. The school was located on her families farm and serviced the neighborhood children. It was 1 room and had 8 grades. It no longer exists. If anyone would like a copy of this I would be more than happy to send it to them.

Gene Anson was the foster son of Floyd and Grace Leigh Jackson. All I have about Gene is maybe a picture taken in 1947 in Oklahoma. And a military picture maybe Koren War?/ It is not dated.

I am trying to find information about my fathers family Thomas Anson born 1920 married to Mary Joyce Molyneux 1948. His father was Charles Anson born around 1878 and married to Sarah Walton. I do not know Sarah maiden name as she was widowed when she married my grandfather and my grandfather had also been married before and his first wife had died. My father Thomas was the only child of that marriage although he had plenty of half brothers and sisters!

He was born March 28, 1932 in Silt, Colo. He married Joyce Hebrew on March 21, 1954 in Delta, Colo.
Richard served with the U.S. Army, 1954-1956. He attended the Denver University in 1954. He was the owner of Anson Motor Company.
His hobbies included: Square dancing, ballroom dancing, tennis, racquetball, swimming and football.
Survivors include: His wife, Joyce Anson of Lakewood; a son, Richard P. Anson of Lakewood; a daughter, Marci Anson of Lakewood; a sister, Irene Learn of Grand Junction, Colo.; two brothers, John Anson of Tucson, Ariz., and Harry Anson of Green Valley, Ariz.; and a grandson, Richard Patrick Anson II of Lakewood.

I am looking for infomation about the children of Frank Clifford Anson. He was married to Luella Viola Hughes on September 14, 1912 probably in the Warsaw, Kosciusko County, IN area. She died July 29, 1916 and he left the area with their children. This is one of those sad family stories made more sad by the fact that we have lost track of part of our family.

Looking for ancestors/information about Austin Anson, b.1820s/1830s possibly son of Mrs Silas Anson. He m. Anna Harris, b.1837. He d. about 1910, possibly in Casselton, N. Dakota. Wife Anna Harris b. at Albion, Michigan sometime between 1831 and 1837, died at Iroquois Falls, Ontario in 1925. They had two children: Frank Harris, b. somewhere between 1856 and 1862 in Niles or Bellevue, Michigan and May Harris, b. about 1858 or 1860 or later. She d. (unmarried) in abt. 1935, possibly in Calif.. Austin may have had a brother Myron, and sister Elizabeth.

I have buried at a small cemetery across from Jabez-Allen Rd. in Plattburgh, NY. an Robert Anson died 1829 he was aged
67 years. His tombstone saqid Blessed are the dead. The rest was unreadable. It was at a small fort that was built one of 5 to protect people from the Indians. Only a small cemetery left there. Thanks, Linda
