I'm looking for any info.that I can find out about my family,My Mother's name is Ruth Koberstein-Singleton her DOBis.is March 29 1931,she was born in Hirschberg,East Germany.Her Mother's name was Selma Ansorge-Koberstein her DOB.B is March 9,1895,she passed away on Dec.11,1932.She has Pneumonia & was in her 7mos.of pregnacy with her 7th.child.Her Mothers last name was Wendrich.All I know is she had my mother & 2 son's Willy & Oudof Wendrich,My Mothers Brother Willy worked in a Toy Company in Germany,He would send me Toy's when I was lil.My other Uncle Died in War war 2.We think?Know my Grandmother & Grandfather had 6 children,Hans DOB.B April 16,1925 DOD.D Nov.26,2007,Lotta,Christa,Kurt,Alla,Ruth.Alla passed away at 13 her appendix busted.Hans passed away in 1972,Kurt?Lotta lives in Italy & Christina lives in Colon,I know my Grandfather remarried but I don't have that info.My Grandfather's name is Hans Koberstein his DOB.B is Aug.10,1898&he passed away on Nov.11or12,1972 he was born in Germany as well.All I know is that he had 2 or 3 Sister that's all we know.My Grandfather was put in a Russian prison camp in War War 2 around Feb 21,1945 & got out around 1950.My Uncle was put in a prison camp in Italy around the same time I don't know if it was my Uncle Hans or Kurt.After my Mother's Mother passed away they were sent to a home for children in the West's Germany my Grandfather couldn't take care of then.They were in home taking care of other children & doing house work when they got older that were in the fields doing work.That was before 1945 because he remarried around 1945 when my mother & step grandmother was told to leave from there homes in East Germany & go West this is all I know right Know.My mother married my father in Germany after War War 2 His name is John J Singleton.So if anyone has any info.
