I'm always interested in talking about the Ansted family. My daughter is in Germany now, for 2 months, and will be doing some Ansted genealogy while she's there.

I have a lot of Ansted, Ansteadt and Anstead data on the descendents of Jacob Anstadt who moved from Bavaria in the early 1800's. My direct line goes to Bedford township, Monroe county, Michigan.

Thank you for your reply. Have not been in touch with anyone.My family founded the town of Temperance, Michigan. I myself lived in Lambertville for 28 years. I have a lot of written history of the family as well as do my Brothers & Sisters. There is 9 of us (7 boys & 2 sisters) still living in my family. In fact, we are having a family reunion this weekend (8/01/2003) in Toledo. If you were to call 734-856-5620 ( David Ansted) one of us would be happy to talk to you.

Have you spoke to Trudy Urbani Bedfords town historian regarding your Ansted line? I know she has mentioned this family. She is currently collecting genealogy data relating to the towns history. If you have not spoke to her already and wish to share data with her let me know. I recently volunteered to help find data on our town.

Hi Jim,
My mother was Iva Ansted, daughter of Orlie Burton Ansted. Orlie was actually born in the family home in Temperance which is now the Bank. I have lots of information on some of the lines but am always anxious to build on my Ansted data base.
