Hello all! I'm new to the researching of my gg grandfather, William or Eddie Anthony who lived in the Greenville, Alabama (Butler/Lowndes County). His possible dob is 1860 - 1870. Has anyone run into the name of a Deanna Anthony, my gg grandmother. Or do you have any info. of the Anthony' s in the Alabama area. I presume they were slaves and possibly took on the Surname. They had numerous children, of whom several names I'm sure of were: Pearl, Jeannie, Fletcher, Joseph, and Eddie/Willie and others. Any lookups of the 1870 and 1880 Census would be appreciated, or anything at all to point me in the right direction. Thanking you in advance. By the way, this message board is a notable service and help to the cause.
