I just found this site. I didn't realize how unique the Antone surname is. Anyway, my mother's father's name was Johnnie B. Antone. All I know is that they are from Birmingham(?) I believe that surname was probably taken from the slave owner. Does anyone have information regarding the Antones as slave owners?
