04/12/11
Trent,
I came across your request today. I don't know if you are still looking for information on Jennie Fuller or the rest of the Antrup clan. I am also related to the Antrups. My great grandfather was Ray Antrup who I believe was Clarence's brother. I have a copy of the obituary for Jennie who married Ellisworth Brunkhart following Henry Antrup's death in 1918. I also have a photo of Jennie. Please contact me via my e-mail as I am not a subscriber of ancestry.com.
lgaddy2610@hotmail.com

Hi, I don't have a Willard John listed, but everything else seems to match, so maybe I've just missed him somewhere along the way... Here's what I've got on the family so far:

-Henry was born 5 Dec 1853 in DeKalb Co, Indiana to John K Antrup and Martha Jane Robbins. Henry married Lottie Malone 9 Mar 1878 in Allegan, Michgan and had one daughter (Nora). Lottie died sometime between 1880 and 1882, and Henry married Jennie 28 May 1882 in Hannover, Wexford Co, Michigan. Sometime around 1900 they moved back to DeKalb Co, and Henry died 2 Feb 1918 in Auburn.

-Jennie was born in 1866 in Delaware Co, Ohio to Henry Marshall Fuller and Caroline Roof. After Henry passed away Jennie married Ellsworth Brunkhart on 3 Jul 1919 in DeKalb Co. I've yet to find a record of her death, but am told she died in 1953.

If you have any other questions, let me know, and I'll try to answer them. Thanks,

Trent

I have a great grandfather named Willard John Antrup who died in his early 20's, leaving a daughter Lucille Antrup. His father is listed as Henry Antwerp(alternate spelling) and his mother Jennie Fuller. It seems that the parents might be the same. Do you know if your relative, Clarence Fred born in 1892 had any siblings? do you know the birth, death or marriage dates for your Henry F. and Jennie Fuller ?Willard John was born in 1885 in Cadillac, MI and died in 1907 in Cadillac.

Pat,
Well, here's what I've managed to find so far:
-As I said previously, Burdella was born 28 Jun 1865 in Auburn, IN to John K Antrup and Martha Jane Robbins. She is listed in the 1870 Census in Union Twp as Ellen (her middle name).

-John was born possibly Sep 1820 in Westphalia, Prussia, and died 8 Aug 1866 in Auburn. He died from Camp Diarrhea (Dysentery) which he contracted while serving with the 35th Indiana Infantry. He and Martha were married 8 Mar 1848 in Auburn.

-Martha was born about 1826 in Indiana and died 2 Sep 1875 in Auburn.

-After Martha died Burdella and her sister, Susan, were made wards of a John L Davis who also lived in Auburn at the time.

After that I've got nothing else, hopefully this will help! If you've got any questions, let me know, and I'll see if I can answer. Have a good day,

Trent

Trent- I have almost no info on Burdella(known as Della in my family). Her oldest child Minnie, my grandmother, was born in Cadillac to William West and Burdella. So any birth marriage death info you had would be helpful. Thanks for filling in a genie hole.
Pat

Just noticed that you have Burdella listed as being from Cadillac... all the information I've got has that she was born 28 June 1865 in Auburn, DeKalb Co, IN...

Trent

Hi,
It is a match...Burdella is Henry's sister. Since my original post I've found some more information, particularly their parents. If you haven't got any of this info, let me know and I can send it your way. As for the connection between Cadillac and Ft Wayne... Their parents (John & Martha) lived in DeKalb County, Henry moved to Wexford Co in the mid-1870's and then back to DeKalb Co around 1900. I'm not really sure the reason for either of those moves...but that's the info I've found. Hope this helps! Let me know if there's anything you're missing. Have a good day,

Trent

This sounds close enough to be a match. My great grandmother was Burdella Antrup West from Cadillac MI and her daughter Minnie Agnes West Smith was married in Ft. Wayne, IN. Either of those names sound familiar? What was the connection between Cadillac and Ft. Wayne?
