Hi I'm an Antwine and was born in Louisiana. My father's name is George although I'm sure not the same as the one you mentioned. We currently live in Missouri and also have some relatives that still reside in Louisiana. Antwine is not a common name but a name that is connected to many nationalities. I am a black women and am sure that I am related to some Anglosaxon's as well as French.

I'm researching where Joseph Antwine (Antoine?) came from. On the census, his birth country is Canada. I have found that he was born in Sorel, Quebec, Canada but nothing beyond that. A Canadian researcher told me that Antwine which is listed as Antoine in some of the local Iowa documents could even be his first or middle name. Immigrants weren't usually listed when coming over the Canadian border until later and Joseph immigrated in 1856. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My mother's maiden name is Antwine, Her Mother and Sally Antwine were married to two brothers, my grandfather's name was Alsie Antwine and his brother Jewel Antwine was Married to Sally. They were from Loisiana and moved to Oklahoma in the early 1900's by wagon. If this is famaliar, please let me know, I won't to find the parents of these two Men.

My name is Mark Antwine and I was born in Kinston (Lenoir Co.), NC. My father was also born and raised in the same area. my great grandfather was william[billy] antwine and he was married to elizabeth or eliza shelton and they lived around soper,okla.i never met him but i did know his wife.she died in the 50's or 60's.i know little else about the antwines but there might still be some around nelson or antlers okla. thanks, dave

The Julius Antwine I was searching for information on married Emily Boats and they had 7 children that survived infancy. They lived in Beaumont,Texas for a time. Yes the name was often spelled differently, Antoine on many documents. That is one of challenges in making connections.
