the region of Calabria is where my former husband's APAs were from. Some went to Chicago and some to Indiana later.

As I posted earlier today, I have info on the Fernando APA and
Angelina Rosa GERMANO. They had an Emilia, frank, Pasquale, Fred, James, Mary, George Angelo for their children.Frank was born in Rapid City, SD; Pasquale was born in Altamonte, Calabria, IT; James APA was born in Mntreal, CAN or Madisonville, KY; looking for clarification on that please. Mary was born in CANADA; George Angelo APA was born in Hammond , IN, which is where some of the records for this family were located; Emilia C, "millie" APA (my former husband's mother) was born in Chicago, IL. I don't know where Fred was born.

Yes, I do have some. I have Fernando APA and his wife Angelina Rosa GERMANO (in a photo). I have some newspaper notices and I have info on some of their descendants. I also have their funeral records. That would be Emilia's Mother and father. I also have Lazzaro family photographs. I am willing to share. could use your info too and fill in some gaps. Family photos always welcome

Do you have any information you would like to share? We also have another Apa ( by birth), (some also spell it "Appa"), that has more info and documentation and is looking for it at this time. She knows we are looking for many records so we can continue to pass this on to the younger generations. e recently attended a Lazzaro's funeral and talked with her and she stated we have an exact match with the info you already shared. We also have a photo of our Emilia that was in the family.

My husband Grandmother was Mary Apa, married Frank Lazzaro. I wasn't sure where she "Millie" Emilia was born, but I knew for sure Mary was born on the ship coming from Italy and when the ship came in she was recognized as a Canadian. We have some of the original documents. We also have some of the headstone photos posted up. Do you have any of the decendants that are in Italy? I only have a few. I just found out that Frank Lazzaro's father came over, but his wife passed away in Italy. They did say that only 3 came over that they knew of. We are in the process of getting more info from 1 of the last 2 elder Lazzaro's so we can put this all on paper. Any help, would be appreciated. I will also post up what facts we find out.

I am sure we do. This is my deceased husband's line that I work on for the grandchildren. I have many pictures of these families that were professionally taken. My husband's mother was Emilia Apa in IL.

I believe we have a connection. My husband grand parents lived in Gary and there last name was Lazzaro and Apa.

My husbands Grandmothers maiden name was Apa. Not usre if any relation. She was Italian.

I am Frank Apa of Harrisburg, Pa. My father came to America from Italy in 1931 and his parents were both born in Italy. We have resided in the area all our lives.
