5 years later...

My mum was born Janet Aplin, now Bedloe, in east London in 1939, now living in Australia, as is her brother Christopher. Their dad was William Gilmore Aplin. There is some record of them living in Buckhurst Hill, Essex towards the end of the second world war.

Don't know of this is of any use.
