I would have a greater tendency to say that your William R. was related to the family of William Apsley who was married to Ann Roberts. That William died before the William that was married to Martha Wroth, who was a son from another marriage,possibly to an Anderson, or Dulaney. Ann Apsley and her William had two sons, George Dulaney and William R. Apsley. If you check my Family page you will find the chronology of all the info I have collected over the years. Anyway, your Apsley I believed was from that family, otherwise he probably would not have left for VA but stayed close to those Apsleys that remained. Also, the naming patterns in that branch differ.
