yes. Both my grandfather and his brother Nicholas came to the US from Italy. My grandfather, Joseph Paul Aquino, was about 3 years older than Nicholas. He was born March 24, 1898 in Castle Forte, Italy. So Nicholas would have been born in about 1901. My grandfather was about 4 years old and Nicholas @ 1 year old when they came to the US (in around 1902). They had a least two older sisters in Italy. My grandfather worked for the Sanitation Dept. in NY before going to Florida. He and my grandmother were married in Bronx, NY in 1916. They had 5 children together (Thomas- died at 2), Mary, Carmine (my dad whose name changed to Thomas), Theodora (aka Dorothy) and Camille. They separated but never divorced. Joseph then lived with his girlfriend, Dora, who was his common law wife in Florida. They had no children. He then died of a heart attack in June 1962 in the Bronx, NY. My grandmother also changed the last name Aquino to Arquina.
